Autumn Leaves

The fall colors seem like such a distant memory, when in reality I took these photos just nine days ago. Just a few short days before the monster storm Sandy arrived here on the east coast. While my area was spared the utter devastation of the Jersey shore coast, barrier islands and New York, we had our share of multiple day power outages, downed trees and other storm related damage. We were very fortunate and thankful to have not lost power at our home. Tara missed three days (and 2 hours) of school, but I did not miss work, my scheduled days off coincided with the storm.

My last day off prior to the storm, and what I suspected would be my last chance to get out and find some foliage pictures for this autumn was Friday, October, 26th. The weather was really not that great, very overcast. It seems like we have had overcast skies for weeks now! I decided to just head out any way and see what I could see. I was past the prime, but I did find some nice colors in Schwenksville, PA along the Perkiomen Trail.

These last few were taken around Green Lane, PA.
