Good Morning Sunshine!

As much as I love living back in Pennsylvania near family and life long friends, there are days that I miss seeing sunrise’s like this in my back yard! The morning was quiet and still, providing a great reflection in the pond! Looking at this picture helps warm me up on this 22 degree morning!

DayTrippin’

Tara and I took a Sunday ride (I remember as a child my mom, dad, sometimes my grandmother and myself would take a “Sunday ride” after church….. with the price of gas skyrocketing, I think we will be staying pretty close to home).  She wanted to go to Lambertville, NJ (because she ♥ Adam Lambert and she loves going on long car rides!)  I think because she has my undivided attention, she can listen to her music, and when she wants, she reclines the seat and chills.  At first I was hesitant, but then I thought about the possibility of photo ops, so I agreed.  I’m going to combine my Mellow Yellow Monday, Ruby Tuesday, Mid Week Blues and Watery Wednesday all into one post!

MellowYellowMondayBadge

We followed the “yellow” line and crossed the New Hope – Lambertville Bridge.

Then we made a stop along the river in the D&R Canal State Park

I was a bit blue to see that someone had left their beer bottle behind.  I took it and put it in the trash.
I loved the look of this bridge.

Canadian Geese on the Delaware.
Mallards on the river.

Water Fowl on the Delaware

I love this yellow and red sign, especially with the coffee cup!

I’m not sure what the Yellow Zone was,
but I saw this in the parking lot of the Ivyland-New Hope Train Station.
Figured it was perfect for Mellow Yellow Monday.
I was able to add another Mule from the Miles of Mules project to my collection.
He’s got a bit of yellow on his blanket.  I posted about the Mules here.

For Ruby Tuesday – A Fire Alarm on a telephone pole. Don’t see those often.
This old lady with her yellow bag,  looked so real as we came
around the bend into the shopping area of New Hope.

I would have loved to stop in and have a cup of coffee on the patio,
but it was packed!  Love the RED brick.

Cars from the New Hope Ivyland train.  One of these days I am going to ride on the train!

In honor of the arrival of March,
I thought I would include this sculpture on the property of
Byers Choice, Chalfont, PA which is on our way home.
They make figurines… creepy looking in my opinion.

ABC and Watery Wednesday, MId Week Blues too. – Cocoa Beach

We are in the midst of a storm here in the Philadelphia suburbs that has encased us in ice.  What a winter we have had…. so for today, I would like to transport us to a place that is warm, watery, blue and starts with the letter C!

COCOA BEACH, FL.  When Tara and I lived in Orlando we were about 45 minutes from the beach.

Stop by the above blogs and check out what everyone is sharing this week.  In particular Rebecca is starting a new Project 64….. can you guess what it is?  Very cool, but you will have to visit her to see!

Watery Wednesday and Mid Week Blues

Today I’m combining Mid-Week Blues and Watery Wednesday… as I said in my Ruby Tuesday post, I had big plans for photography this week.. but my teenage daughter and the weather each in their own way derailed my plans.

These photos were hastily taken at the Willow Grove Park Mall, in Willow Grove PA.  The mall is on the property of an old amusement park, and has a carousel theme.  At one of the entrances there is a carousel to ride.

Over the fountain, shown below, you will find all sorts of mythical carousel creatures.  The mall is three stories and these are suspended from the very top.

You can see one more photo here.
Stop by Water Wednesday and Mid Week Blues for more great photos.

Mid Week Blues and Watery Wednesday

MId Week Blues is hosted by Rebecca at The Dusty Cellar and Water Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy.

Trying to come up with something blue and watery in the confines of my house on a snowy evening wasn’t easy, until I came into the bedroom and noticed the blue glow of my humidifier.

Then there is the new blue shovel I bought today that will be used for clearing “frozen water” when the snow stops tomorrow.

Watery Wednesday

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy.
Not too much water in this photo, but I wanted to share a picture of the beautiful flowers we received.  The lighting is very bad in the room where I photographed them.  I need to get them out in the natural light today!
