|Reflection of the sky and sculpture in Reflecting Pool|
|Lansdale’s Kugel Ball – the sphere spins on a thin sheet of water.
The guys in the background were probably wondering why I was taking their picture.. because they were in the frame of my shot, that’s why!
I just realized the name Kugel Ball is really redundant…. since Kugel is ball in German, so it’s Ball Ball!!!
I have not joined Weekend Reflections for a long time.. I just didn’t have any good reflection shots. I found this one on a card that I shot the other week and thought I would post.
Philadelphia is a great city for photographing reflections. I took a drive downtown yesterday, and on my drive out of the city, I was stopped a a light and saw this reflection. The original was not composed very well, as I was sitting in my car, shooting between traffic coming the other direction, so I cropped and rotated a bit for a unique perspective. My day was kind of off kilter yesterday, so this photo fits right into the mood of the day!

(I changed the url of this blog… it is now www.photosbymak.blogspot.com should anyone have it bookmarked…..)
Just a bit of reflection in this photo (the bridge in the pond)… but I just LOVE how this photo turned out, and I wanted to share! (I added the vignette effect in Picnik)I hope to get back to this location in a week or two and see how things have filled out. Spring seems to finally be arriving in our “neck of the woods”. So much rain and clouds and cool damp weather. April showers bring May flowers aside, I am ready for some sunshine and warm temps!

In addition to be a photo with a reflection, visiting this spot had me reflecting a bit on my past. It brought back so many memories. Tara’s father and I used to visit this place frequently when we first met. In fact, it was during this time of the year. We would meet after work, grab some dinner to go, and head to The Willows. Rick would fish, and I would people watch. How different time was 17 years ago. My cellphone was in a bag in the car and my camera was most likely a disposable film camera. Sometimes I wish I could slow down enough now, to grab dinner to go and head to a park such as The Willows, relax and people watch and take photos!
I enjoyed taking Tara to a spot where her father and I spent good times together.
The blue whale at Hatfield Aquatic Center. This is the community pool in the township we lived in prior to moving to Florida. The aquatic center was re-built the year after we left, and is quite impressive with water slides, a lazy river, hydrotherapy pools, zero beach entry pools, etc. Yesterday was the first time I had been there with my great nephews for their swim lessons. I thought this whale quite nicely covered all three WW, MWB and WR!!!

James, a fellow PA, blogger/photographer hosts Weekend Reflections each week. I have been trying to include at least one reflection shot each week when I am out with my camera. This is one of a pair of swans and two cygnets we found enjoying a nice brunch at the a local park on Tuesday.
I have not participated in a long time in Jame’s Weekend Reflection meme, but I had to share this one! Head on over and take a peek at all the great shots!
I took this photo this morning at the pool… there are reflections in the pool every morning (obviously), but some days they are just more beautiful than others… the clouds around the sun really “painted” a beautiful scene! (Taken with IPhone and rotated)
This reflection is very subtle. If you look closely at the MK in this picture, you will see yours truly reflected in the window – I have on a red jacket and red shoes. I thought it was kind of funny since my initials are MK. I love Mickey, love the red and love the heart!
